Drawing influence from the world of traditional and Japanese tattooing, punk and hip-hop music, urban street art and architecture, Tom handles all his subject matter with an intense attention to detail. Naturally adept at selecting cohesive colour palettes, Tom uses distinctive pastel tones in his work combined with a bold outline.
Following on from his 2020 solo exhibition featuring hand painted woodcuts with traditional Japanese imagery Tom has developed his repertoire to include hand painted signs, drawing inspiration from vintage signage and including techniques such as the application of gold and silver leaf.
Tom specialises in brand identity design, mech graphics, packaging and website development as well as taking on commission work for hand painted pieces and signs.
